Postal Sharpening Service

If you wish to use our postal service, please complete the bottom section of the form (see image below), wrap your scissors carefully, place them in a padded envelope and send them to the address at the top of the form. We will return them by signed for recorded delivery or *Special Delivery.

Hair Scissors: We carry out the under mentioned steps upon receipt:

We will email you a confirmation of receipt, Take the scissors apart, Clean them thoroughly, Inspect them for any damage (if found and not repairable, we will contact you), replace any washers etc*, Sharpen the scissors maintaining the original edge, Hone the ride and inside edge of the scissors, Polish them on a honing wheel, Re-assemble the scissors, Balance them and check the set on the scissors.
Test Cut â€“ dry, wet and on real hair, oil the ride on the scissors ready for use. WE DONâ€™T JUST SHARPEN THEM WE SERVICE THEM

*High end scissor parts such as tangs, adjustment plates screws etc may have to be ordered from the manufacturer if found missing, we will advise you before service as to the cost.

Service: We charge Â£13.00 for service & sharpening (*less missing parts). There is a return postage and insurance cost also (see below) .

Payment: Complete the form below and send, with your scissors and payment, using a padded envelope to the address above. Please make cheques and postal orders payable to the proprietor: â€œMR M V DOYLEâ€.

You may if you wish pay by debit or credit card, we will call you to get your card details once the scissors are ready for despatch. A copy of the payment slip and invoice will be sent back with the scissors
